After bedtime, Tai has gotten into the cheeky habit
Of wandering back out to the kitchen, claiming to need to do a poo.
After a millisecond on the potty, to no result,
He sidles up to us eating our dinner, crawls onto our lap,
And helps himself to his second dinner of the evening, along with dessert if possible.
Cheeky!

The illicit thrill of his fourth yoghurt for the morning...
Then riding home on Papa's shoulders
From a sunny lunch at the Club,
Learning tennis, climbing on the table
And streaking across the lawn bowls lawn
While Miro pees in the middle of everyone.

When we go visit Ollie, Nathalie and Melissa.
He carefully shares tiny teddies with Ollie.

Matai adores playing
And is most often seen like this, car in hand,
Chasing after Miro, or being chased, calling cars "Mummy" or "Daddy"
And making all sorts of characters for them; usually ones that say "Oh NO!"

After spending the good part of half an hour
Trying to shoo a naughty (but obtuse) mynah bird out of our kitchen
(Much to Matai's delighted squeals... and the tiny pitter patter of a petrified bird)
Tai looks around for more in the trees around our garden.

Going first on Miro's request.
But afterwards, for being so good,
Both boys are rewarded with a toy from the vending machine.

Through some strange association
Tai is so uncomfortable every time he takes a bath
And keeps jumping out, wanting to use the toilet
Which he doesn't actually use yet.
What results is a poor little boy, wanting to go, but not knowing how.
Today, Papa tries to make him the King of the Potty
In an effort to make him more comfortable with the notion
Of staying put for enough time for him to work it out.

Beside a rushing, icy stream.
