In a bid to get him to sleep better.
He seems to like the experience.
Though doesn't like opening his mouth!
He prefers to sip the rice cereal or chew the spoon.

While Miro dives into the wonder of Din's
Matai has Mummy and Daddy all to himself~
Where he eats at Bills for Breakfast,
Cuddles Mummy in quiet Darlinghurst streets
(Where old men smoke amongst their plants on terraces
And church bells gently carry on the air...),
And is rugged up like a second womb
On Daddy's front for a brisk chilly beach walk.

Matai spends Miro's birthday party wailing in Nanny's arms
Frustrated at golliwogs, chew toys and panettone boxes
And earning his nickname MaCry.
The only things that soothe him are:
Touching the bamboo outside~
Going for walks around the neighbourhood~
Milk, milk, milk~
And inexplicably, dinner at Bill and Toni's.

Doing his best to roll from back to front.
So much so, that he spends the rest of the night rehearsing
And wakes us up every hour with tears!

Loves simply to turn his head and look through the window, outside.

For Miro's 2nd birthday, we visit the crocs and the kangaroos
And Matai gets scared by the snakes
But perks up for a dancing video
And loves birthday boy hugs at lunchtime!
Later, the others share chocolate sundaes
And Nanna pushes him all the way home...

In the sunshiney coastal walk to Cabbage Tree Bay...
And lots of kisses for Mummy!
Later, Uncle Daney comes over
And there's time for more cuddles and goos.

Where Matai sleeps to the sound of Miro's happy laughter,
Rushing water, heartbeat
And steady footfall.
(Waking 6 times in one night does that to you!)
