Sweet little sandy face
Hops back into his carseat
After hours on the road
And a tranquil lunch by the water at Yamba.
When we finally arrive at Lennox Head
He is happy to pop into pyjamas
And relax watching his favourite cartoons.

We set off bright and early from Sydney,
Breakfasting at Raymond Terrace
And then popping past Moredin's place for a yummy lunch
Along with biccies and ice-cream galore!

Eats biscuits, watches 3D movies,
Narrowly misses Miro collecting him on the rope swing,
Runs around the veggie patch,
And cuddles on Pa-Din's lap.

For his afternoon dodo
We are starting to be able to give our little Tai
A kiss on the head, and then leave him in bed
To go to sleep on his own.
Today, an hour after this ritual,
We sneak back into the room for nappies
And are very surprised to see that he has migrated
To the top of the changetable!

Matai is unhappy and wants to be picked up
When Miro is the clear winner in a backyard foot race.
After, we make him feel so much better
When we spend a special hour, just Mummy and Tai and the twins,
Tai riding on the back, pointing out the colours of parked and passing cars;
Seeing boats and watching the sun set by slippery dip.

Matai is constantly agitated when it's time to go to the toilet
And wants to use the potty, but never to any result.
Today, however, he works up a smile - if nothing else -
At the attention of all, as we do our best to encourage some action!
Later, he is thrilled to swing with Papa
On a beautiful sunny afternoon trip to the park.

And smiles appreciatively at Miro's Mothers Day present
His brother made at preschool.
