A fun day at the beach!
After baguette picnic by the playground
We walk around the pool, clamber over rocks
And Tai seeks Papa to go higher and higher...

Despite always saying he doesn't want a do-do "any-more"
Matai cuddles up on the sofa today at 1:30
And sleeps soundly til 5pm.
Even when Miro, Archie and Rose
Are screaming pirates and dinosaurs all around him,
He just opens one eye, then closes it again, peacefully reposing.
But later, once awake,
He's created plenty of energy
For bouncing on the bouncy castle that
Stevee and Lucee bring!

Patiently piecing stickers to pictures in his book.

This morning when we wake up
Miro has left his birthday bike in the rain
And we resolve to dry it off with a towel
In the hope that it will not rust.
But before Miro can get to it (still being in the bubble bath)
Matai diligently wipes over every crevice and cranny!
Later in the morning we go to Leo, Miranda and Hugo's house
For the most wonderful spread of cakes, scones and sweet fruits
While the rain sogs everything up outside.

On realising how cold it is when we get to the park
Matai is forced to wear the babies' jacket
On top of Miro's tee!
Luckily we spot his mismatch everywhere
Making it easy to track his wandering playtime.

While little brothers watch.

Today we have an
Impromptu sausage roll picnic
In the garden.
Tai takes
Party leftover M&Ms
And loads them patiently
Into his rocket.

Matai loves opening Miro's presents with him in the morning
But by the time the party starts
He's feeling out of sorts at so many people,
Wanting to be picked up and go to bed.
As a result, he retires, and sleeps for the entire party!
Luckily when he wakes up three hours later
There's still a smidgeon of cake waiting for him.
