We later discover he has eaten all the flowers from off the top of the cupcakes!

Backyard Bandit
Today removes his pants
And wants to sit on the toilet.
He sits there ten long minutes,
Pulling the toilet paper off, square by square,
And dropping each piece in a scrunch between his legs
Before finally announcing that there is no toilet-going to be had that day.
But pretty proud of himself nonetheless!

To the extent that when Papa is joking around with Miro
And asks if he'd like to eat Matai's feet instead of icecream for dessert,
Matai turns to Miro and says "No! Mine!"

We see in the early evening making apple tart for dessert,
Only to be thwarted by a total power outage,
Leaving only baths in the dark, and cheese and crackers by torchlight!
