On chickenpox vaccination day,
After soothing ice creams and a loo/ lunch race back home,
The boys are promised the playground for the afternoon.
And so, after lunch, they sprinkle woodchips, hurtle down slippery dips,
And wrestle each other in the chill windy sunshine.

Here he is at the Wiggles exhibition, happily scribing.
After the expo, we have a yummy lunch in Newtown
Where Daddy wins the award for the tightest French-style park on Australian soil.
(He even gets the car behind him applauding!)

Runs towards the waves when we're up by the steps,
And back towards the steps when we sit by the waves.
He also says two new words today:
"No!" and "Dir-tee!"

Matai can't get enough of it
And follows it with the biggest smile
Until it gets annoyed by all the attention, and slides into the bushes.

On the rare occasions Tai gets in the bath first
He blissfully sinks into the warm water,
Plays lackadaisically with his toy boat,
Sings and talks to himself, and generally
Loves the whole bathing experience.
So when Miro comes along and joins him,
You can understand that he feels a bit put out.

Loves the Shetland pony, giving it a kiss on the snozz...
Adores the kites flitting across the sky...
And falls into the water, Daddy two seconds too late!
(The after hugs are pretty nice though - he can't help a twitch of a smile
As he's cuddled back to warmth)

Matai can hardly wait on Miro's first day at "school"
Running ahead of him to get to the classroom,
And crying when we leave, taking him with us !
To compensate, we go to Nanny's house,
Where Tai loves wandering the garden, picking the flowers,
And munching honey jumbles and furry friends.

And after Father's Day lunch, wakes up a little grumpy
Which Miro takes full advantage of,
By vying for Daddy's arms!
Luckily Leelee is near at hand
To chop Daddy's meat, and feed him !

A celebratory picnic in the back garden
Sees Tai searching for what's good in the shopping bags
And nibbling chicken rolls.
Later he has a tumble down an enormous slippery slide
And needs cuddles for his poor blushing forehead
(Soothed by a bear of a puppy dog called Arnica)
As the sun sets over Putney.
